Sailor Hair Bow Tutorial

Learn how to make a sailor hair bow clip with tails in this quick and easy sewing tutorial! Perfect for beginners and no overlocker needed… just simple steps to sew a classic bow and attach it to a hair clip 🎀

You’re more than welcome to make these bows to sell on your Etsy shop, craft fairs, or as handmade gifts!

⭐ Skill level and time estimate: Beginner friendly and takes about 30 minutes to create!
🎀 Finished size: 4.5 inches wide and 7.5 inches long.

✂️ Supplies needed:

• Fabric (I use cotton poplin in this video. I also recommend polycotton, cotton lawn, linen or any other lightweight woven fabric).
• Hair clip (I use a 3” barrette clip)
• Thread
• Glue gun (or strong glue)
• Sewing machine
• Scissors
• Quilting clip (optional)
